En effet, on accueillait la diversit\u00e9 et les r\u00f4les importants que jouaient les bispirituels. L\u2019histoire des personnes bispirituelles pr\u00e9 et post colonisation sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to colonization, gender issues did not exist in many First Nation communities. Rather, the importance of roles and contributions to the whole were cherished. Two Spirited people were valued for what they brought to their nation. Pre and post contact gender and sexuality in First Nations will be presented.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes biographiques<\/strong> : Diane Labelle est directrice du Centre r\u00e9gional d\u2019\u00e9ducation des adultes des Premi\u00e8res Nations, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Kahnawake, o\u00f9 elle habite avec sa conjointe des 27 derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es et ses deux enfants. Elle a fait ses \u00e9tudes en sciences politiques (ma\u00eetrise) avant de se lancer dans l\u2019enseignement et la gestion.
